Lauren joined Bank of Hawaii as a Bank Associate after graduating from the University of Hawaii West Oahu with a BA in Business Administration, Accounting. She’s loves helping connect our customers with a home loan that’s right for them.

Michelle joined Bank of Hawaii in 2006 as a Home Equity Specialist and recently joined our SimpliFi Mortgage team. Born and raised in Hawaii, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and watching the sunset in Hawaii Nei.

Kai Yamamoto prides himself on his ability to close loans smoothly, address problems up front, and complete the loan process on schedule.

Desiree Julian was born and raised in Hawaii, and has been on both sides of the home buying experience as a loan officer and a real estate broker and agent.

After 30 years as a loan officer, Dwight Bolosan is still passionate about helping his clients purchase the home of their dreams. His experience includes working with clients who require low down payment assistance, Mortgage Credit Certificates, and Hula Mae financing.

H Nitahara learned the mortgage business as an underwriter while working on the U.S. mainland. Before that, he spent four years living and working in Japan.

Anthony specializes in mortgage loans for first-time homebuyers. Having served in a range of mortgage-related positions over his career, he has an abundance of knowledge and experience in commercial, conventional, VA and FHA mortgage loan processing, as well as closing, credit analyzing and underwriting.

Jennifer Gershman is a knowledgeable, seasoned loan officer who is equipped to meet and exceed the needs of her clients. Her facility with unique financing structures has made home ownership possible for numerous clients.

Jack Smyth was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu and is an active member of both the Le Jardin (Kailua) and Kamehameha Schools communities, in addition to being a KS graduate himself. Jack’s experience in the mortgage business extends to complex financing transactions, which makes him a tremendous asset to his clients.

Calvin Hernandez has been with Bank of Hawaii for 28 years, with the last eight years spent as a loan officer. Before joining the bank, Calvin sold and implemented enterprise software to multinational companies in Asia.

Serna Saure is one of the most knowledgeable loan officers on Guam. She’s lived on the island for 25 years—15 of which have been spent in the mortgage industry—and has a deep understanding of both the real estate market and the community.

Michelle Pellettieri was born and raised on Maui, and lives on the island’s north shore. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of mortgage lending, with 23 years of experience in originating, processing, and closing loans for Maui residents.

When Corey’s not helping his clients finance the home of their dreams, you might find him out on a hiking trail or practicing yoga. Corey is a graduate of Maryknoll School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.

You might say Destenie Turner was born to be a loan officer. Raised in Windward Oahu, her family has been in the mortgage business for three generations and Destenie worked with her family’s firm for five years before joining Bank of Hawaii.

Brenda Mitchell has earned a host of accolades during her 20 years in the mortgage loan industry, including setting a new record at Bank of Hawaii in 2020 when she surpassed $160 million in mortgage loan funding.

Alaka'i was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu, where he attended Kamehameha Schools playing varsity basketball. He went on to continue his academic and basketball career at Notre Dame de Namur University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science after a four year basketball career.

Harleigh Young began her career with Bank of Hawaii as a loan processor and advanced to the position of loan officer.

With over 18 years of mortgage industry experience, Derek prides himself on making real estate dreams come true. By educating and communicating with his clients, he aims to make the mortgage experience a smooth experience.

Bonnie’s been a part of Bank of Hawaii’s team since 2005, starting in the branch and working in a variety of customer service positions. All of these roles led her into being a Loan Officer.
