With more than 24 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Brenda Mitchell is known for helping clients successfully navigate the home financing process with clarity, confidence, and expertly structured solutions. Known for her strong underwriting background and problem-solving expertise, Brenda specializes in structuring solutions for a wide range of borrowers. She is especially experienced in working with complex borrower profiles, including self-employed clients, corporate income structures, and jumbo financing.

In 2021, Brenda set a production record at Bank of Hawaii, surpassing $175 million in mortgage loan fundings. Her earlier experience as an underwriter at a mortgage insurance company provides her with a unique ability to anticipate challenges early and guide transactions smoothly from application to closing.

Brenda holds a double major in Business and English from Mount Holyoke College, studied international business at Oxford University, and is a 13-Year Club member of Punahou School. She also serves as a long-time board member of Make A Wish Hawaii, reflecting her commitment to the community she serves.

Outside of work, Brenda is the proud mother of two sons and enjoys fitness, all things health and wellness, and golfing with her husband and boys. She began running marathons with her father in the fifth grade, a tradition that continued through her college years. She also enjoys entertaining family and friends at home and sharing her growing passion for cooking and baking.
