You might say Destenie Turner was born to be a loan officer. Raised in Windward Oahu, her family has been in the mortgage business for three generations and Destenie worked with her family’s firm for five years before joining Bank of Hawaii.

When Corey’s not helping his clients finance the home of their dreams, you might find him out on a hiking trail or practicing yoga. Corey is a graduate of Maryknoll School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.

Calvin Hernandez has been with Bank of Hawaii for 28 years, with the last eight years spent as a loan officer. Before joining the bank, Calvin sold and implemented enterprise software to multinational companies in Asia.

Jack Smyth was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu and is an active member of both the Le Jardin (Kailua) and Kamehameha Schools communities, in addition to being a KS graduate himself. Jack’s experience in the mortgage business extends to complex financing transactions, which makes him a tremendous asset to his clients.

Bonnie’s been a part of Bank of Hawaii’s team since 2005, starting in the branch and working in a variety of customer service positions. All of these roles led her into being a Loan Officer.

H Nitahara learned the mortgage business as an underwriter while working on the U.S. mainland. Before that, he spent four years living and working in Japan.

Brenda Mitchell has earned a host of accolades during her 20 years in the mortgage loan industry, including setting a new record at Bank of Hawaii in 2020 when she surpassed $160 million in mortgage loan funding.
