Offers up to a 3-month extension on direct installment and indirect auto loans and leases. Defers principal and interest payments during the extension period.

How to Apply?
This consumer personal loan is intended for individuals who are current Federal employees or contract employees of the Federal government whose income has been impacted by the partial government shutdown that began on October 1, 2025. You will be asked to provide a paystub dated August 31, 2025 or later to verify your employment. You can apply online using the ‘Apply online’ button below. If you are unable to apply online, you can visit a Bank of Hawaii branch.

Bank of Hawaii Customers with Existing Loans
If you are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the partial Federal government shutdown as a Federal employee or contract employee of the Federal government and have an existing Bank of Hawaii loan or line, payment relief may be obtained via loan forbearance and/or extension.
Loan Forbearance Program
Get up to 3 months of payment forbearance on residential mortgages and home equity lines/loans. All late fees accrued during the forbearance period will be waived. Account must be less than 30 days past due prior to the Federal government partial shutdown on October 1, 2025. You will be asked to provide a paystub dated August 31, 2025 or later to verify your Federal employment.
