Does it matter where I make my deposit?
Deposits can be made at a Bank of Hawaii branch, Bank of Hawaii ATM, or online through Bank of Hawaii Mobile and Online banking.
When will winners be selected?
All prize winners will be chosen at the conclusion of the sweepstakes period. Winners will be notified beginning January 18, 2026.
Will I receive a 1099 if I win?
Winners will receive an IRS 1099 Tax Form, if required, in the mail for the value of the prize, to be processed in the year in which they receive the prize. The winners will be solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prize awarded.
1 No purchase, transaction, or Bank of Hawaii account necessary to enter or win. Giveaway entry period is December 15, 2025 – January 8, 2026. Limit a total of fifty (50) entries per person during the giveaway period. Must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of Hawaii, Guam, Saipan or Palau. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries. Approximate retail value of prizes range from $250 to $25,000. See Giveaway rules for details.
2 Qualifying Deposits are all deposited items of new money which must be in the form of cash, a personal or official check from another financial institution, an incoming wire, ACH credit, Online Banking external transfer, or external funding of a new account (“New Money”). New Money does not include any check or credit drawn from a Bank of Hawaii account, even if the account is unrelated to the Entrant. New Money CDs are those funded with New Money and opened as a New Money Special CD. Bank of Hawaii has the sole discretion to determine what constitutes New Money for the purposes of this giveaway.
3 Accounts with certain ownership types are excluded, including those opened as Kids Only Savings, HUTMA, Custodial, Agency, or Trust accounts (unless owned by the Trustees and identified by Trustee(s)’ social security number).
