Frequently Asked Questions

I have a safe deposit box at the Lahaina branch. Is it OK?

While we cannot speak to the status of the contents within safe deposit boxes held at our Lahaina branch, the vault and its contents appear to be completely intact—with no noticeable smoke or heat damage. We are reaching out to customers directly to discuss next steps for accessing their box and retrieving the contents.

When will my safe deposit box at Lahaina be accessible?

The safety and security of your belongings remain our top priority. Our team is working as quickly as possible to reach out to each safe deposit box holder to begin scheduling time for you to access and retrieve the contents of your safe deposit box. If you would like to move the contents of your safe deposit box to another branch, our team would be happy to help start the process with you during your appointment.

Will someone contact me about my safe deposit box?

Yes, we are currently reaching out to safe deposit box holders to schedule time for you to access and retrieve the contents of your safe deposit box. If you have not received a phone call in the next few weeks (starting September 18, 2023), please confirm your contact information is correct by visiting a branch or updating your information via online banking.

Is there anything I can do right now regarding my safe deposit box?

If you have personal effects or items of value within your safe deposit box, we recommend reaching out to the appropriate agencies or companies for copies or coverage details, such as your lawyer and insurance company.
