How do I send messages to Bank of Hawaii through Online Banking?
The Message Center allows you to read and send secure messages to Bank of Hawaii. These messages do not travel outside of the Online Banking system, so confidential data, such as account numbers or tax IDs, are secure. You can only read secure messages while logged onto Online Banking.
- To read or reply to a secure message, go to “View Messages” from the “Accounts” page.
- To write a new secure message, go to the “All” menu then, “Support”, then “Contact Us.”
Please note: Secure messages are automatically deleted after 180 days.
What are the scheduled system maintenance times?
The Online Banking system is unavailable for use Sundays between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST). This is for regular system maintenance. On occasion we may be performing special updates or adding new enhancements to the system, in which case the system may be down longer. During the fall and winter months, this maintenance period corresponds to 10:00 PM Saturday through 2:00 AM Sunday Hawaii Standard Time (HST). During the spring and summer, when the mainland is on Daylight Savings Time, this corresponds to 9:00 PM Saturday through 1:00 AM Sunday HST.
Do you need “cookies” to use Online Banking?
Yes, we require “cookies” to access Online Banking so we can manage your Internet session. If your browser has been set to reject all cookies—or if it blocks all cookies that allow sites to collect some personal information—you will not be able to sign in.

- Tax Forms - Such as, 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement (home equity line or loan), 1099-INT (interest income), 1099-R (distribution from pensions, annuities, retirement or profit-sharing plans, IRAs and insurance contracts) and 1099-OID (Original Issue Discount).
