Questions about One-time Payment

What if I’m on auto payments?

If you’ve set up auto payments you do not need to do anything else! Loans with auto payments are excluded from this service.

How quickly will my payment be processed?

Payments are processed on the same business day.

During daylight savings, payment must be made by 12:00 PM Chamorro Standard Time or 9:00 PM Central Time.

During non-daylight savings, payment must be made by 1:00 PM Chamorro Standard Time or 9:00 PM Central Time.

A business day is Monday through Friday except U.S. Federal holidays.

How do I find my loan account number?

Please refer to your statement or similar documentation for your loan account number.

How secure is the one-time payment method?

The One-time payment service uses the following security features:

  • The one-time payment service uses 256-bit keys and Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2/1.3 encryption in web browsers.
  • Automatic Sign Out: We automatically sign you out after 20 minutes of inactivity.

How can I be sure my payment went through?

You will receive a confirmation number and email after you submit your payment.

Can I cancel my one-time payment?

Yes, you may cancel a one-time payment up to 9pm Central time on the payment date (8pm Central Time for West Pacific facilities).

Is there a fee when using one-time payments?

Bank of Hawaii does not charge a fee for this service.

Is there a limit to the number of payments I can make?

There is no limit to the number of payments that can be made in a day.

Is there a transaction dollar limit for payments?

Yes, below are the dollar limit per payment for the account types:

  • $35,000 per payment for Auto & Commercial Leases
  • $50,000 per payment for Consumer Loans & Lines
  • $99,999 per payment for Mortgages
  • $250,000 per payment for Commercial Loans & Lines
  • $250,000 per payment for Private Banklines
  • $250,000 per payment for Recovery Accounts

How do I make a transfer between my deposit account and my loan or line of credit?

Use the transfer functionality within online banking, if you see an error about a relationship not existing contact us to get it set-up.

How do I view my estimated pay off?

Installment loans: log into online banking and on the account page your estimated pay off will be displayed. For additional details you can go to the account activity page and click on account information.

Mortgage: log in to online banking click on your mortgage account to see balance details.

Credit Card: log in to online banking click on credit card to see balance details.
