Today, Bank of Hawaii customers in the state of Hawaii may now sign up for a free* Greenlight® account.

As local families face an increasingly complex financial environment, Greenlight’s family finance app offers an innovative solution to bridge the financial literacy gap for kids and teens. Parents can use Greenlight to teach their kids critical financial skills, like how to earn, save, give, spend wisely, and more. Greenlight brings Hawaii’s keiki a fun and interactive way to learn about the world of money while gaining hands-on money management experience — all with parental supervision.

Last month, Bank of Hawaii announced its collaboration with Greenlight, whose mission is to empower parents to raise financially smart kids. And starting today, Bank of Hawaii customers in the state of Hawaii now have free* access to Greenlight’s app and debit card for kids and teens, where they can send money instantly, automate allowance payments, manage chores, set flexible spending controls, get real-time notifications on all transactions, and more.

Greenlight also offers a comprehensive and innovative approach to financial education. Within the app, kids and teens have access to Greenlight Level Up™, an interactive, curriculum-based financial literacy game. Level Up includes fun and engaging games, quizzes, and lessons that go beyond the National Standards for K-12 Personal Financial Education to empower young people with money skills and confidence.

Bank of Hawaii customers may learn more and sign up online to get free* access to a Greenlight subscription at www.boh.com/greenlight.

*Bank of Hawaii customers are eligible for the Greenlight SELECT plan at no cost when they connect their Bank of Hawaii account as the Greenlight funding source for the entirety of the promotion. Upgrades will result in additional fees. Plans start at $4.99/mo. Upon termination of promotion, customers will be responsible for associated monthly fees. See terms for details.
