The Bank of Hawaii

A Conversation on Race in Hawai‘i

Hawaii is host to a diversity of ethnicities and cultures. In some situations, we celebrate this diversity, honoring each culture and its history in Hawaii. In other situations, discrimination is tolerated with a shrug. There are many inequities and challenges that need to be acknowledged and addressed; we are all personally accountable for the system we perpetuate.

Join us in a two-part panel featuring leaders from all sectors of our community on a “Conversation on Race in Hawaii – History, Current Issues and The Future: We Must Respond.

Opening remarks by Marissa Machida of NAPABA-Hawaii and Bank of Hawaii.
