ua body is run by Leala Humbert and husband Blaine Kusler. The Big Island-based company was founded by Leala’s mother Alice over 30 years ago. Her driving impulse was love—love of flowers, Hawaii, and human beings. She embodied the spirit of aloha; and so, her company evolved to actualize that love.

When she passed, Leala’s family decided to maintain her beautiful and heartfelt legacy. They renamed it ua body, which translates to rain in Hawaiian, and reminds us that nature is a powerful healer, and that we, in turn, must nurture and protect the earth.

ua body’s natural, clean and vegan skin care products are all handcrafted in small batches in their workshop on Hawaii Island. Their line of skincare and body products consist of high-quality, additive-free formulas with natural and locally sourced ingredients that replenish, hydrate, and protect your skin.

In an effort to reduce single-use plastic, ua body’s products are packaged in glass and paper. To further this effort, 1.5% of each sale goes to the Hawai'i Conservation Alliance, whose mission is to preserve the culture, land, and oceans that we call home.
