Andy Downes is Senior Vice President and Team Leader in the Kālai Services Group. He works with high net worth individuals and families to address the unique complexities of their lives at each step of their financial journey. Focusing on client priorities and goals, Andy partners extensively with experts throughout the bank to provide a comprehensive wealth management approach.

Andy joined Bank of Hawaii in 2016 and has served in various leadership roles in community, personal, and small business banking. His most recent role was as the Experience and Strategy Manager for the Consumer Banking Group. Before joining the bank, Andy led and managed various consumer banking teams at one of the world’s largest financial institutions in Los Angeles, California.

A native of Clearwater, Florida, Andy received his commission as a Surface Warfare Officer from the United States Naval Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. While on active duty with the U.S. Navy, Andy was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia; Yokosuka, Japan; and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Following active duty, Andy earned his Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Andy currently serves as a board member for Mental Health America of Hawaii and the Honolulu Council of the U.S. Navy League.
