Joel Navarro is a seasoned financial professional and a respected member of the Maui community, with over 30 years of dedicated service. As Vice President and Relationship Manager in Bank of Hawaii’s Kalai Services Group, Joel provides high-net-worth clients across Maui with personalized banking solutions rooted in local values and informed by global financial expertise.

Joel’s career reflects a deep commitment to service and resilience. In the wake of the 2023 Lahaina wildfires, he transitioned from his role as Executive Vice President at an escrow company to lead a non-profit organization as CEO. Under his leadership, that foundation has distributed more than $2 million in grants to support families, small businesses, schools, and community organizations. Joel continues to play a vital role in the foundation’s long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts in West Maui. 

With a professional background spanning lending, escrow, and wealth management, Joel brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to client service. His approach combines technical expertise with a concierge-level experience, ensuring each client receives thoughtful, tailored solutions. He works closely with internal partners in financial planning, trust services, and investment management to deliver holistic strategies that support long-term financial goals. 

Joel holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Fairfield University. A passionate advocate for youth development and education, Joel serves on the Board of Directors for the Lahainaluna High School Foundation. He is also President of the Lahaina Junior Golf Association and founder of the Legacy Cup Golf Tournament, which supports Lahainaluna High School’s “Project Graduation.”
