Gee Hing Chinese Company Charitable Trust

The purpose of the Gee Hing Chinese Company Charitable Trust is for the perpetual care, promotion, enhancement and preservation of the Tong Wo Tong Chinese Cemetery historical site located in Keauhou, Hawaii and for the promotion of Chinese culture and preservation of the history of Chinese in North and South Kona, Hawaii.

The trustees’ general policy is to consider one request each year from qualified organizations in the State of Hawaii with programs and projects that promote Chinese culture and preservation of the history of Chinese in the State of Hawaii with a primary emphasis in North and South Kona, a secondary emphasis on the island of Hawaii and third throughout the remainder of the State.

The Trust does not make grants directly to individuals, to endowments, for reserve purposes, or deficit financing.  It does not provide multiple-year funding.
