Ron Chang is Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in the Kalai Services Group. This group specializes in servicing Bank of Hawaii’s high value clients, who typically have more complex banking, investment and financing needs. Ron has extensive experience in the real estate industry with both residential and commercial properties, as well as in-depth experience in commercial banking, private banking, trust and estate planning, and wealth management.

Catering to Bank of Hawaii’s high net-worth business owners, executives and family wealth clientele, Ron works closely with other areas across the bank to provide a holistic approach to offering banking and financial planning services, wealth management strategies and customized retirement and estate planning solutions to successfully achieve each client’s individual goals and objectives.

Ron draws from his 25 years of banking experience in equipment leasing and commercial and corporate banking, as well as his past experience as a successful entrepreneur. For the last 10 years, Ron has built a thriving private banking practice at Hawaii’s two largest banks.

Ron is a graduate of ‘Iolani School, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Washington in Seattle. Ron also graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Banking School and currently serves on the board of directors for the Spalding Branch Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Hawaii and Zion Ipuka.

Before and after work hours, Ron is an active investor and enjoys showing family and friends how to build wealth through a variety of techniques, leveraging long-term growth strategies involving real estate, as well as the equity and fixed income markets.
