More About Ken
Ken Noriaki Niimura is Senior Vice President and Manager of the International Client Group. The International Client Group offers a wide variety of banking products and services specifically tailored to international clientele. With a unique understanding of the financial needs and cultures of non-resident clients, the International Client Group provides guidance for personal and business financial goals with useful solutions designed to make life easier.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Ken was the vice president and assistant manager of the International Banking department at a local bank. He also served as president and chief marketing officer for two local investment companies. For nine years, Ken was the president and chief operating officer for a popular beverage company in Honolulu.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Ken worked for a U.S.-based company in Tokyo for 10 years, then moved with his family to Los Angeles and then Austin, Texas. In 2001, Ken and his family moved to Hawaii and has since established a professional and personal life with family and friends. Ken loves to snow ski, but since he has not had much opportunity to ski in Hawaii, Ken has taken up tennis and now plays in a tennis league.
Ken received his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Tokyo City University. He received his master’s in business administration from the University of Southern California. He is an executive board member for Hawaii Senior Life Enrichment Association and a member of HAPA Young Leaders.
