Bank of Hawaii Announces Two New Managing Committee Members: Ed Hudson and Dana Takushi

Bank of Hawaii announces the following two promotions to its Managing Committee.

Ed Hudson, chief people officer, has been promoted to senior executive vice president from executive vice president. He continues to provide leadership for all areas within the bank’s People Services Division, including compensation and benefits, leadership and employee development programs, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, operations and regulatory compliance.

Hudson joined Bank of Hawaii as vice president and director of development in People Services in December 2017. He was promoted to executive vice president and chief people officer in September 2018. Prior to joining the bank, Hudson worked in human resources and organizational development for several leading technology companies in Silicon Valley for more than 20 years.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and human resources management from California State University at Long Beach and the University of Southern California, respectively.

Hudson is a member of the U.S.-Japan Council, the Society of Human Resources Management, WorldatWork and the Project Management Institute.

Dana Takushi, The Private Bank manager, has been promoted to senior executive vice president from executive vice president. In her new role, Takushi oversees Kālai Services Group, Private Banking, and Trust Services Group.

Takushi joined Bank of Hawaii in 1993 and progressed into a number of leadership positions, including in The Private Bank, Corporate Banking and Hawaii Commercial Banking Division. Takushi has a wealth of banking experience, and during her BOH career has held positions in the areas of equipment leasing, business banking, commercial real estate lending, wholesale credit, and investment services compliance and risk management.

She earned her bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and earned her Certified Treasury Professional degree from the Association for Financial Professionals in 2001. Takushi is also a graduate of the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School.

Takushi is the immediate past board chair for Parents And Children Together, and serves on the boards of directors for Palolo Chinese Home, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Kaneohe Ranch and Barstow Foundation.
