Bank of Hawaii Announces New Vice Presidents: Cabel, Li, Twohy and Vasquez

HONOLULU, HAWAII

Shauna Cabel was recently promoted to vice president and project management manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office from officer and strategic business partner in the Organizational Effectiveness department at Bank of Hawaii. She is responsible for leading the high functioning team of the project management office in the following areas: business process, request, risk, resource, program and portfolio management.

With more than 14 years of experience, Cabel joined Bank of Hawaii in 2006 and served as a service/teller supervisor and then service manager in the Branch Banking Division until 2014. She then transferred to People Services (HR) where she held a variety of positions in learning development, employee relations and organizational development. Cabel is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Chaminade University through Bank of Hawaii's College Assistance Program.

Daniel Li was recently promoted to vice president and audit consultant from assistant vice president in the Internal Audit department at Bank of Hawaii. He is responsible for planning, directing, organizing and executing midsize and large audits of operations and functions of the bank in accordance with the audit program and IIA standards.

Prior to joining the bank in 2015, Li served in the Audit department at Deloitte & Touche for four years. He earned his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting, finance and management from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Patrick Twohy was recently promoted to vice president from assistant vice president at the Ala Moana Banking Center of Bank of Hawaii. As a banking center manager, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch and enhances customer experience by identifying financial solutions and educating customers about digital banking options, while also developing new business in the community.

Twohy joined Bank of Hawaii seven years ago as a bank associate in BOH's management training program, and held a variety of positions in an in-store branch, as well as the Pearlridge Banking Center. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Shidler College of Business.

Valaine Vasquez was promoted to vice president from assistant vice president in the Training & Support Center at Bank of Hawaii. In addition to providing technical support, Vasquez and her team are responsible for the creation and delivery of all training to all branch teams including technical applications, branch procedures and customer experience requirements.

Vasquez has more than 22 years of banking experience having served in a variety of roles at Bank of Hawaii and other financial institutions in Hawaii and Indiana, including branch manager, senior training administrator and training manager. She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Hawai'i Pacific University.
