Bank of Hawaii Announces New Senior Vice President Eric Ferguson

HONOLULU

Eric Ferguson has joined Bank of Hawaii as senior vice president and senior customer profitability manager in the Business Planning and Strategy Department at Bank of Hawaii. He is responsible for leading the team focused on identifying opportunities, through advanced analytics and modeling, to enhance profitability across the bank’s consumer businesses. Ferguson will also lead the effort to define the next generation of enhancements to Bank of Hawaii’s analytics platform.

Ferguson has 30 years of extensive experience in global banking and finance, specializing in economic and statistical analysis, collections, recovery, debt sales, strategic planning, and portfolio and corporate acquisitions. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer and human resources director of Optolum Inc. in Tempe, Arizona. He was also president and CEO of Synapse Consulting LLC. Ferguson’s collective banking experience includes more than 15 years in a variety of leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore; Discover Card in Glasgow, Scotland; and Bank of America in Phoenix, Arizona; and First of America Bank in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Six Sigma Black Belt™ certified, Ferguson earned his bachelor’s in business administration degree, with a focus in finance, from Western Michigan University and is a member of Oxford University’s 2012 Leading Across Border executive education cohort.
