Bank of Hawai‘i Recognized as One of America’s Best Employers for New Grads by Forbes

Bank of Hawai‘i has been named to Forbes’ 2026 America’s Best Employers for New Grads, earning a place among the top 500 companies nationwide and highlighting the bank’s longstanding commitment to developing the next generation of leaders. For the Forbes’ listing, click here.

The ranking, developed by Forbes in partnership with Statista, reflects feedback from more than 100,000 young professionals with less than 10 years of experience across U.S. companies with at least 1,000 employees. Participants evaluated employers on key areas including salary, benefits, advancement opportunities, work-life balance, company image, and AI adoption. 

“This recognition reinforces our belief that investing in our people is essential to our success,” said Bank of Hawai‘i President and CEO Jim Polk. “It remains a top priority of ours to provide opportunities for early-career employees to grow and feel supported in their career journey.”

One of the clearest examples of that commitment is the bank’s internship program, which is celebrating 15 years this summer. Since 2011, Bank of Hawai‘i has welcomed nearly 500 college interns from around the globe to spend the summer gaining hands-on experience in the industry working alongside experts in the industry. Throughout their time with the bank, interns partner with teams across the organization and in the community, building real-world professional skills and a supportive professional network.
