The national ranking, developed by TIME in partnership with market research firm Statista, spotlights U.S. companies that have continued to grow and expand domestically and abroad despite a less certain economic environment.
Companies were evaluated across three equally weighted categories:
- Employee Satisfaction: Based on survey feedback from approximately 217,000 employees over three years, including recommendations and ratings on workplace culture, compensation, working conditions, and equality.
- Financial Performance: Measured using five years of financial data, assessing factors such as revenue growth, net income trends, asset growth, and return on assets. Companies were required to generate at least $100 million in revenue in 2025 to be considered.
- Sustainability Transparency: Evaluated through ESG-related materials, including carbon emissions intensity and reduction, CDP scores, board diversity, human rights policies, CSR reporting, and compliance/anti-corruption practices.
“We’re honored to be included on TIME’s list of America’s Best Companies,” said Bank of Hawai‘i President and CEO Jim Polk. “This recognition reflects the strength of our people, the trust of our customers, and Bank of Hawai‘i’s commitment to create lasting value for the communities we serve.”
