Bank of Hawai‘i Completes Branch of Tomorrow Transformation on Lāna‘i

The island’s only bank branch features a modernized design and upgraded technology

LĀNA‘I CITY

October 16th, 2026

Bank of Hawai‘i held a blessing this morning for its newly renovated Lāna‘i Branch, the first major update to the island’s only bank branch since it opened in 1997. The project is part of the bank’s longstanding commitment to modernize branches in close-knit communities across Hawai‘i and the West Pacific.

Reflecting the bank’s continued investment on Lāna‘i, the 800-square-foot branch has been thoughtfully refreshed to Branch of Tomorrow standards, with three teller windows and a private Pili room for in-person or virtual consultations. The renovated interior is designed to be both welcoming and functional while honoring the character and history of the island.

“Lāna‘i is an island with a strong sense of community, and we’ve been privileged to be part of it for nearly 30 years,” said Bank of Hawai‘i President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Polk. “We look forward to serving the people of Lāna‘i for years to come with the best modern tools and personalized service available.”

The Lāna‘i Branch is located at 460 Eighth Street, Lāna‘i City. It is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The architect is Peter Vincent Architects, and the contractor is Associated Builders Inc. For more information, visit boh.com/lanai.

It has long been Bank of Hawai‘i’s mission to provide for all communities, large and small, and support their evolving needs. With 52 branches system-wide, Bank of Hawai‘i is honored to be the only financial institution with branches on all main Hawaiian islands and throughout the West Pacific. The bank will begin renovating its Kaunakakai Branch on Moloka‘i later this year.
