Bank of Hawaii Announces New Vice Presidents: Hatton, Kang, Nouchi and Paz

HONOLULU, HAWAII

Cara Hatton has been promoted to vice president from assistant vice president. She continues her responsibilities as the business platform manager in Retail Lending, where she oversees the team that manages and supports the bank’s loan origination system.

Hatton joined the bank in 2016 as senior project manager for Bank of Hawaii’s Enterprise Project Management Office. She has more than 20 years of experience in project management, much of it overseeing electronic management for large healthcare systems. She earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute. She also earned her associate degree in business administration from Glendale Community College in Glendale, Ariz., and completed additional specialized coursework in healthcare administration at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Ariz.

Ali Kang was promoted to vice president from assistant vice president. She continues her responsibilities as a private banking relationship manager in The Private Bank, where she provides financial services tailored to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of high-value clients. She also serves as a liaison between these customers and other departments within the bank to ensure they have access to the specialized expertise they need.

Kang joined the bank in 2015 with more than a decade of private and personal banking experience. She earned her bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and is a certified financial planner (CFP).

Keith Nouchi has been promoted to vice president from assistant vice president in the Operations Group. He continues his responsibilities as a compliance officer, partnering with business units across the bank to give them operational risk guidance while ensuring they fully comply with the rules and regulations that apply to their area.

Nouchi first joined the bank in 1995 as a help desk analyst, and was promoted to IT access manager in 2001. He has a wide range of skills and abilities gained from more than 20 years of experience within the bank’s Information Technology management area.

Edwin Paz was promoted to vice president from assistant vice president. He continues his responsibilities as mortgage banking platform manager for the Project & Process Support Department, where he oversees a team that maximizes efficiency and security while improving customer experiences in the bank’s mortgage loan origination and servicing systems.

Paz first joined the bank in 2016, and has a wide range of skills and experience in mortgage lending systems gained from his seventeen years as a systems team leader in the Mortgage Lending Division at First Hawaiian Bank.
