Bank of Hawaii Announces New Vice Presidents: Broomall, Komo and Puglisi

HONOLULU, HAWAII

Jason Broomall was promoted to vice president and commercial credit team leader from assistant vice president and commercial credit underwriter in the Commercial Credit Group at Bank of Hawaii. He manages a team of commercial credit underwriters and associates and guides the process of underwriting and monitoring commercial loans in order to provide the best services to the bank’s business customers.

Broomall joined Bank of Hawaii in 2012 and has served in various positions within the company, including Commercial Credit Group, Corporate Banking and Management Reporting. He majored in business at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Beppu, Japan, and earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2012.

Lawrence Komo joined Bank of Hawaii as vice president and equity strategy product and services manager in Investment Management Services (IMS). He oversees the development, management and supervision of IMS’s portfolio strategy products, as well as the management and oversight of portfolio trading, performance measurement and administration services for the department.

Komo has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry working for a variety of financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in Japan, Daiwa Securities in Hong Kong and United Overseas Bank in Singapore. Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, he also served as Managing Director for Citigroup in London and Singapore, under the Capitals Markets and Corporate Bank divisions.

Komo received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University and his master of business administration degree from Emory University.

Anne Marie Puglisi joined Bank of Hawaii as vice president and manager of employee relations in People Services. She is responsible for developing programs and processes for all employees that foster an exceptional and ethical workplace that align with the bank’s corporate strategies and initiatives.

Puglisi has more than 20 years of experience in employee relations, human resources and employment law in Hawaii and New Mexico. Prior to joining the bank, she worked in several capacities for the State of Hawai‘i, most recently as the director of the Civil Rights Compliance Office for the Department of Education. She also held the positions of program manager for the Equal Employment Opportunity Office for the Department of Human Resources Development and deputy attorney general in the Employment Law Division of the Office of the Attorney General. Puglisi served as general counsel for a large electrical contractor in Albuquerque, NM, and owned and operated the temporary staffing company Skill Supply LLC for nearly four years.

Puglisi graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor of arts degree in history/French and received her juris doctorate cum laude from Tulane University School of Law. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
