Bank of Hawaii Announces New Vice President: Scott LaFountaine

HONOLULU, HAWAII

September 16th, 2019

Scott LaFountaine was recently hired as vice president and trust officer in the Personal Trust-Estate Settlement department at Bank of Hawaii. He is responsible for all aspects of settling estate of Bank Trust clients in accordance with their estate plans.

Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, LaFountaine served as an associate attorney with family law firm Coates & Frey for nearly three years. He also held the position of Deputy Prosecutor for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for more than four years handling a variety of cases, including felony trials.

LaFountaine earned his bachelor of business administration degree in business and finance from Loyola Marymount University in 2001, where he was on the Dean’s List. He received his juris doctorate in 2008 from California Western School of Law in San Diego, where he was also on the Dean’s List, graduating cum laude. LaFountaine is admitted to practice law in both Hawaii and California and spends his free time as Punahou School’s assistant baseball coach.
