Bank of Hawaii Announces New Senior Vice Presidents Tierney Morikawa Rostron and Aretina Trepczyk

Tierney Morikawa Rostron was promoted to senior vice president and director of commercial credit risk from vice president and enterprise credit risk consultant in the Enterprise Credit Risk Analytics department at Bank of Hawaii. She is responsible for overseeing the program of credit analytics for the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.
Morikawa Rostron joined the bank in 2011 as a credit analyst in the Commercial Credit Group, which led to subsequent positions in commercial lending as a portfolio management officer in Corporate Banking and as a credit administrator with the Commercial Credit Group with a promotion to assistant vice president in 2013. She joined the bank’s Enterprise Credit Risk Analytics group as an enterprise credit risk officer in 2017 and was promoted to vice president. A consistently outstanding performer and leader, Morikawa Rostron leveraged her strong analytical skills and valuable experience in commercial lending to help build the foundation for the commercial credit analytics function at the bank.
Morikawa Rostron is a graduate of Punahou School and earned her bachelor of arts degree in art history and economics from Harvard College in Cambridge, Mass. She currently serves as a board member and treasurer for Hikaalani, an organization focused on reestablishing a center of stewardship in Kailua through protecting the area’s ancestral sites and cultural practices. Morikawa Rostron is an olapa graduate of Halau Mohala Ilima and a dedicated volunteer for the past 10 years with the halau’s keiki program. She is also a member of the Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club.
Aretina Trepczyk recently joined Bank of Hawaii as senior vice president and director of enterprise risk management in the Enterprise Operational Risk department. She is responsible for leading the bank’s risk management activities across the organization to ensure an integrated view of risk and control effectiveness. Trepczyk identifies and leads efforts on emerging risks, including expansion of risk identification, risk appetite, reporting, and program and process development across the bank.
Trepczyk has more than 20 years of experience in audit, risk and compliance. Before joining Bank of Hawaii, she worked with Umpqua Bank for nearly 11 years in various risk, audit and compliance management positions, most recently as senior vice president and senior manager of enterprise risk. Prior to that, Trepczyk served with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Farmers Insurance in a variety of progressively more responsible senior auditor roles.
Trepczyk earned her masters of business administration from George Fox University in Oregon and her bachelor of arts in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She also holds ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.
