Bank of Hawaii Announces New Senior Vice Presidents Matt Pollard and Sudha Venkataraman

Matt Pollard was recently promoted to senior vice president and director of digital banking from vice president and manager of digital banking in the Digital Channels Administration department at Bank of Hawaii. He is responsible for the development and implementation of new features and functionality for mobile and online banking, including ATM, debit card and digital payments.

Pollard joined Bank of Hawaii in 2013 in the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions in both the EPMO and the bank’s Digital Banking division. He has played key roles in major projects, including the launches of the bank’s mobile app and Zelle. A widely respected and natural leader, Pollard works cross-functionally and motivates teams with diplomacy and positivity to underscore the bank’s ongoing effort in the digital space.

He received his bachelor of business administration degree in finance and international business from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2014.

Sudha Venkataraman recently joined Bank of Hawaii as senior vice president and director of data and analytics in the Chief Data Office. She is responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team providing data analytics and data science solutions across the bank. Venkataraman provides thought partnership and decision support towards strategic objectives, while helping to identify new opportunities for improved experiences, efficiencies and growth.

An analytics executive with broad and deep experience in financial services, Venkataraman is an expert in the application of predictive analytics, decision management and analytic technologies to consumer portfolios, to ultimately enhance customer experiences and create business value. For the past 9 years before joining the bank, she held leadership roles in consumer credit strategies, modeling and advanced analytics at KeyBank. Prior to that, she served in a variety of director and management positions at FICO for 16 years, focused on taking data science solutions through the stages of innovation, strategy, development and sales to top tier institutions worldwide.

Venkataraman earned her master of science in management from the Krannert School of Management from Purdue University and her bachelor of arts in science from the University of Madras, India.
