Bank of Hawaii Appoints New Chief General Counsel Patrick McGuirk

HONOLULU, HAWAII

November 23rd, 2020

Patrick McGuirk joins Bank of Hawaii as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He will oversee the Corporate Security, Corporate Secretary, Corporate Risk Insurance, and Legal divisions of the bank.

McGuirk’s appointment is in advance of the retirement of Mark Rossi, Vice Chair and Chief Administrative Officer, who joined Bank of Hawaii in 2007 and served as General Counsel.

With 25 years of legal experience in financial services, McGuirk’s expertise includes a vast knowledge of the legal issues facing the industry. His experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Flagstar Bank, and Counsel at the FDIC. He also practiced law representing financial institutions at a variety of New York firms for 14 years.  

McGuirk received his juris doctorate from Fordham University’s School of Law and has a bachelor of arts degree from Binghamton University. McGuirk is engaged in civic, professional and charitable activities.
