Bank of Hawaii Announces Taryn Salmon as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer
HONOLULU, HAWAII

Taryn Salmon has been promoted to senior executive vice president and chief information officer from executive vice president and director of business service management. She is responsible for all areas of information technology, including business application management, distributed system support, business intelligence and information security. She is also responsible for data governance, strategic analytics and the bank’s project office.
Salmon joined Bank of Hawaii in 2019. She oversaw the Business Service Management team, which is focused on the needs of business customers, with the goal of enabling business objectives and supporting the organization through the most effective use of technology.
Previously, Salmon was senior vice president and director of business technology digital banking and fraud engineering at Zions Bancorporation. She was responsible for leading a team of engineers, digital architects and analysts to deliver innovative digital banking technologies for customers. She also served as Zions’ SVP and director of technology shared services. Prior to that, Salmon spent four years at Orbital ATK as IT director, overseeing its Propulsion Systems Division. Earlier in her career, she worked at ATK Launch Systems for nearly 12 years in a variety of IT leadership roles, including engineering solutions manager, scientific and laboratory application development manager, and project manager.
Salmon earned her bachelor of science degree in business information systems, with an emphasis in computer science, from Utah State University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
