Bank of Hawaii Announces New Senior Vice President Steve Araki

HONOLULU

Steve Araki was recently promoted to senior vice president and director of IT infrastructure operations. He is responsible for the administration and management of Bank of Hawaii’s IT infrastructure teams (systems, network, voice and infrastructure applications) and leading a division of professionals who operationally administer, plan, budget, organize and maintain the infrastructure and its related activities.

Araki began his career at Bank of Hawaii in 1993 as a computer programmer. Over the years, he has held various positions within the IT Division, including senior application programmer, systems administration and server infrastructure manager. He was promoted to vice president in 2017 and assistant vice president and IT manager in 2014.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in 1992.
