In the town of Hilo on the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands, earth elements converge with a rare majesty. This custom artwork is a tribute to the natural beauty of Hilo’s rainforests, waterfalls and coastlines. Wood seems to take on the fluidity of water, while water itself flows like lava suspended in time. Set into a wall of puka lava, this dramatic piece echoes the connection of the lush town of Hilo and the larger Big Island landscape.
