Dave Stinson, ASA, MBA, CEPA^®

Dave Stinson is Senior Vice President at Bank of Hawaii and serves as Director of the Trust Real Estate and Business Interests and Valuation departments. He provides business owners with specialized expertise in business valuation, exit planning, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and fiduciary asset management, supporting complex ownership, transition, and legacy objectives.

Dave brings deep experience in advising owners of privately held companies across a wide range of industries. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation with the American Society of Appraisers and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), combining rigorous analytical expertise with a practical understanding of ownership dynamics and long‑term planning considerations.

Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Dave began his career with Wells Fargo Bank in its Business Advisory Services group, where he provided fiduciary management of business interests and performed valuations for small‑ to middle‑market companies. After earning his MBA, he worked in the Office of Strategic Partnerships at The Clorox Company and later served as Director of Real Estate and Unique Assets at First Republic Trust Company in San Francisco. He relocated to Oahu in 2019 to join Bank of Hawaii.

Dave has also served as an adjunct professor, teaching finance and accounting at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at California State University East Bay and Brandman University. He holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of California and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oregon.
