Ben Miller serves as a Financial Planner within Bank of Hawaii’s Wealth Strategy and Planning team, where he helps individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions and align their planning with long‑term personal and legacy goals. His work is grounded in a thoughtful, client‑centered approach informed by both legal and financial expertise.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Ben practiced law in Tennessee, advising clients on estate planning, business planning, immigration, and real estate matters. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk in Ohio and worked with the Sullivan County, Tennessee Public Defender’s Office, advocating on behalf of individuals with limited means and resources. These experiences shaped his commitment to clear guidance, careful listening, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances.
Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts from East Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, he received a CALI Award for his externship in public service and served as Vice President of both the Criminal Law Society and the St. Thomas More Society. He is also an Eagle Scout.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, staying active through sports and outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking, and pursuing creative writing.
