Agatha Viernes‑LeGros is Senior Vice President at Bank of Hawaii and serves as Director of the Center for Family Business & Entrepreneurs. In this role, she advises and partners with business owners to support their growth, continuity, and legacy planning. Her career reflects a strong commitment to supporting businesses that are integral to the state’s economic vitality, cultural continuity, and long‑term prosperity.

Throughout her tenure at Bank of Hawaii, Agatha has held leadership roles that have shaped her strategic and collaborative approach. Most recently, she led the bank’s Merchant Services division, where she transitioned the portfolio and platform to align with broader organizational priorities. Earlier, as a Senior Vice President and Team Lead in Corporate Banking and before that in the Commercial Real Estate Lending Division, she worked closely with Hawaii’s corporations and real estate developers, as well as a diverse range of family‑owned enterprises, delivering tailored lending and financial solutions.

Before joining Bank of Hawaii in 2015, she spent 11 years in the commercial real estate industry in the mainland, most recently as a Vice President in commercial real estate lending in New York City with M&T Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.

A graduate of the University Lab School in Honolulu, Agatha holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound, and is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor. She serves on the Board of Child & Family Service and is Chair of its Finance & Audit Committee, and formerly served on the Board of March of Dimes Hawaii. Agatha is a Pacific Century Fellow (Class of 2020) and has been recognized as a member of Pacific Business News’ 2024 cohort of Women Who Mean Business. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on her kids at their sporting events, cooking complex recipes, and travelling.
