Nourishing Our Ohana: Your Feedback Turned Into Good—Now More Than Ever

Reading time: 4 minutes

October 10th, 2025

In our island home, we care for one another like family. Thanks to the incredible participation of our customers in the Feedback for Good survey, Bank of Hawai'i Foundation is donating $7,500 to Hawaii Foodbank and $2,500 to Catholic Social Services Guam. Your voices have made a real difference for our communities.

Why Your Support Matters Now More Than Ever

Today, many organizations serving our most vulnerable neighbors are facing new challenges, including reductions in funding and resources. These changes make community support more important than ever. Your feedback and involvement help fill critical gaps—ensuring that kupuna living on a fixed income, working parents facing unexpected hardship, and keiki who rely on school meals continue to receive the help they need.

Celebrating Community Impact

Because you took the time to share your feedback, we’re able to support organizations that uplift our neighbors. Food insecurity touches more of our ‘ohana than we may realize, but together, we’re helping to change that.

How Your Support Helps

  • Hawaii Foodbank serves thousands of local families through a network of over 225 partner agencies across Oahu and Kauai, and affiliates on Maui and Hawaiʻi Island. They provide emergency food assistance, nutritious meals for keiki, and support for kupuna.
  • Guam Catholic Services offers vital support to families in Guam, ensuring that help is available to those who need it most.

How You Can Continue to Help in Hawaii

Even though the Feedback for Good survey has ended, you can still make a difference:

  • Donate Food: Non-perishable food donations are always welcome at Hawaii Foodbank locations and partner sites.
  • Donate Funds: Every dollar helps provide meals and support for our community. Visit hawaiifoodbank.org to give.
  • Volunteer: From sorting food to helping at events, volunteers are the heart of these organizations.
  • Host a Drive: Bring your workplace, school, or neighborhood together to collect food or raise funds.

Let’s Continue to Nourish Our Ohana

With 1 in 3 households in Hawaii experiencing food insecurity—including more than 80,000 keiki—your feedback and support are helping to build a hunger-free Hawaii. Now, more than ever, your involvement is essential. Mahalo for making a difference.
