At Bank of Hawaii, we honor our island traditions of community by sponsoring charitable events across the state through contribution of funds, employees’ time, and in-kind services.

Goodwill Goes GLAM! July 16-19, 2015

Presented by the Bank of Hawaii Foundation, this four-day event kicks off July 16, 2015 with a Gala and VIP Night, and continues on with a Goodwill GLAM! Sale. Also included in the Gala is a fashion show produced by local fashion designer Kini Zamora. The GLAM! Sale will have more than 40,000 items on sale. Proceeds will help in furthering Goodwill’s mission.

Live Kōkua Community Service Day

More than 140 Bank of Hawaii volunteers and family members joined over 100 students, parents and faculty members in a clean-up day at Aiea High School, as part of Community Service Day 2014.

Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday

Since 2004, Bank of Hawaii has made it possible for the Honolulu Academy of Arts to open its doors to the public free of charge on the third Sunday of every month. The day offers creative fun for all ages with a program of art activities, entertainment and film.

Hawaii Book & Music Festival

The largest annual gathering of Hawaii-based authors and musicians, this festival presented by Bank of Hawaii, celebrates books, storytelling and music. Attendees of all ages can enjoy free entertainment and even swap books.

The 2014 Wildest Show in Town

Bank of Hawaii sponsors this 10-night summer concert series featuring live local entertainment. In addition to performances by Kapena, Brothers Cazimero and Raiatea Helm, there will be ukulele giveaways and a Keiki Koloring Kontest. Admission fee is $3 and portion of the proceeds benefit conservation education.

Teach Children to Save

Approximately 200 Bank of Hawaii volunteers visited schools in Hawaii and the West Pacific as part of the “Teach Children to Save” national campaign. More than 3,000 students were encouraged to develop lifelong savings habits and learn more about making smart financial decisions.

Get Smart About Credit

Each year, hundreds of high school students across Hawaii plus hundreds more on Guam, Saipan, American Samoa and Palau, receive free lessons from Bank of Hawaii employees on how to handle credit. Our employee volunteers are heading back to local classrooms on “Get Smart About Credit Day.”

About Applying for a Sponsorship

All requests for sponsorships or fundraising should be submitted at least ten weeks in advance of your event and should provide information about the funding request. Bank of Hawaii will only consider requests from those organizations that provide direct benefit to the people in any of the markets it serves: Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Saipan and Palau.
