2011 Community Walk
On Saturday, June 25, 2011, Bank of Hawaii hosted its 5th Annual Community Walk at Kapiolani Park to support nonprofit organizations that work to protect and nurture Hawaii’s children. Employees selected the walk’s beneficiaries, and then raised a total of $111,000 in donations for After-School All-Stars Hawaii, Easter Seals Hawaii and HUGS.
Bank of Hawaii started the annual Community Walk in 2007 to support local nonprofit organizations who were unable to do their own fundraising walks. Today, the Community Walk continues to thrive – drawing strong numbers in proceeds and supporters throughout the island. The Community Walk is just another way in which Bank of Hawaii exemplifies its longstanding commitment toward improving the quality of life and wellbeing of the communities it serves.
Over its five-year history, the Bank of Hawaii Community Walk has raised more than $560,000 to help our communities.
