More About Sharene
Sharene Urakami-Oyama is Vice President and Relationship Manager in the Private Banking Group. She is committed to being a trusted partner to her valued clients throughout their financial journey by assisting them with their banking and credit needs and collaborating with colleagues across the bank to ensure each client’s financial objectives are being met.
Prior to joining the bank, Sharene worked 19 years at a large telecommunications company. There, she oversaw the retail locations in the state and served on the Broadband Assistant Advisory Council for Hawaii. Sharene also worked at a multinational financial services company and held various roles there to include management, loans and employee development.
Sharene is a graduate of Kaimuki High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa on an athletic scholarship. She is an alumna of the Pacific Century Fellows and was recognized with a “40 Under 40” award by Pacific Business News. She is passionate about serving her community and is a committee chair for the University of Hawaii Alumni Association, a member of the Kaimuki-Waialae YMCA board of directors and a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of Hawaii.
Sharene enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially to Japan), and eating spicy foods. Her favorite part of the day is when she returns home and her children come running out of the house to greet her!
