Q. What do businesses typically include in their Coupon disclaimers?
A.
Since disclaimers are unique to each business, Bank of Hawaii cannot provide guidance on the disclaimers you should use in your Coupons. However, some sample disclaimers currently used by participating businesses include:

  • Discount applied to entrée of equal or lesser value.
  • Discount valid with dine-in only. Not to be used on take-out or delivery.
  • No cash value.
  • One time use only.
  • Other restrictions may apply.
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts or offers.
  • Valid only at the following stores: 123 ABC Street, 456 BCD Street, and 789 CDE Street.
  • Not valid on holidays
  • Valid only for lunch.
  • Valid only from Monday thru Thursday.
  • Excludes gratuity, tax, and alcoholic beverages.
  • One per person.
