Robert “Niels” Taylor Joins Bank of Hawaii as Vice President

HONOLULU, HI – Robert “Niels” Taylor has joined Bank of Hawaii as vice president and manager of IT Risk & Security, where he oversees IT risk assessment, IT change management, information security monitoring, IT disaster recovery, IT asset management and corporate technology policy administration.
Taylor was previously director of information security, compliance and quality assurance of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, which provides financial services to Agricultural Credit Associations, in Columbia, S.C. There, he created the information security policy and developed the bank’s systematic information technology assets management, business continuity and IT risk and vulnerability management programs. Prior to that, he worked for CUDefense in Columbia, S.C., where he was director of its information security consulting division. Taylor has spent the majority of his career honing his expertise in information security within the financial services industry.
Taylor earned a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. Additionally he holds designation as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
