Bank of Hawaii Announces New Vice Presidents: Hartman and Nichols

Honolulu, Hawaii (December 9, 2008) - Jason Hartman was recently promoted to vice president and audit consultant in the Internal Audit/Credit Review Department. He oversees audit programs for Bank of Hawaii’s various business units and evaluates control systems and operating procedures.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii in 2006, he was principal auditor with Capital One Financial, an auditor with Land America Financial, and assistant controller with Interstate Construction Corporation, all in Richmond, Virginia.
Hartman received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is certified as an internal auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors and holds a certified information systems auditor designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
Robert “Rob” N. Nichols has been named vice president and senior credit risk review officer in the Internal Audit/Credit Review Department at Bank of Hawaii. He performs credit risk examinations and analyzes the bank’s retail credit risk, and has held this position since June 2006.
Since joining the bank in 2000, Nichols has served as assistant vice president and portfolio manager with Business Banking and assistant vice president and credit manager with Consumer Lending. He has also worked in the Risk Management and Trust Division.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Nichols worked at American Savings Bank and GE Capital.
Nichols received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona in Tucson and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.
