Bank of Hawaii Announces New Senior Vice Presidents: Anderson and Oda

Honolulu, Hawaii (February 29, 2008) - Wayne J. Anderson has been hired as senior vice president and credit review manager of the Credit Review/Internal Audit Department at Bank of Hawaii.  His responsibilities include managing the credit review team and identifying, measuring and reporting credit risk issues and trends.

Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, Anderson served as credit review manager for Greater Bay Bancorp in Palo Alto, Calif.  He has held positions as senior credit examiner for Union Bank of California and special credentialed bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank, both based in San Francisco, Calif.  Anderson was also a senior credit risk manager at Bank of America and performed real estate valuation and feasibility analyses at Arthur Andersen & Co. in San Francisco, Calif.

Anderson earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering mechanics; a master of science degree in manufacturing systems engineering; a master of science degree in real estate appraisal and investment analysis and a master of business administration degree in finance, investments and banking.  All degrees are from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis.

Carrie Jeanne L. Oda has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and business product management from vice president.  She continues her duties as sales and business product development manager, which entail developing and implementing the division’s strategic sales plan and sales goals. 

Oda joined Bank of Hawaii in 1988 as a new accounts and loan manager.  She has held a variety of positions at the bank including consumer credit product manager, small-business manager, risk and finance manager, and client relations manager. 

She received a bachelor of science degree from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Co. and graduated with honors from the School of Bank Marketing, Boulder, Co.

Oda serves as a board member for the Hawaii Small Business Development Advisory Board.  She is also a member of the American Marketing Association and the Bank Marketing Association.
