Bank of Hawaii to Introduce State's First Wireless Mobile Banking Service

Honolulu, Hawaii (August 9, 2007) - Bank of Hawaii will introduce the state’s first wireless mobile banking service on Aug. 12. Bank customers who subscribe to Internet access on their mobile phone or personal digital assistant (PDA) will be able to access their financial accounts through Bank of Hawaii mobile banking services without bank charges anytime, anywhere. Regardless of which wireless carrier they use, customers will have a variety of services available at their fingertips including:
1) Online banking (e-Bankoh Mobile) which offers access to account summaries, transaction history, transfers between e-Bankoh accounts and online bill payments. (An Internet-enabled device is required for this service.)
2) Online access to the mobile-enhanced Bank of Hawaii website (mobile.boh.com) for branch and ATM locations, rates and services. (An Internet-enabled device is required for this service.)
3) “On-Demand” bank text messages for account balances and three most recent transactions. (An Internet-enabled device is not required for this service.)

Web navigation and access through a PDA or mobile phone is often slow and cumbersome.
