Bank of Hawaii To Celebrate Opening of In-Store Branch in New Safeway Hilo Store

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Bank of Hawaii will open its newest branch on March 25th in conjunction with the opening of the new Safeway in the Makaala Center in Hilo. Located at 381 East Makaala Street, the new in-store branch is the bank’s 12th branch on Hawaii Island.
Art Taniguchi, Bank of Hawaii senior vice president and East Hawaii regional manager, said, “Bank of Hawaii looks forward to continuing our partnership with Safeway. Safeway has built a beautiful store at the Makaala Center and our new branch will make it even more convenient for Hilo customers to do their banking with extended branch hours, seven days a week.”
The Safeway Hilo In-Store Branch is Bank of Hawaii’s eighth in-store branch in a Safeway store. Aside from this location, the last in-store branch was opened in 2010 in Safeway Kapolei.
This in-store branch will offer a variety of banking services including:

* Checking, savings and time deposit products
* Personal loans and credit card applications
* Internet banking set-up
* Business Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
