Bank of Hawaii Participates in 'Aloha for Japan' Statewide Relief Effort for Earthquake and Tsunami Victims

HONOLULU, HAWAII (March 16, 2011) – Bank of Hawaii is pleased to participate in “Aloha for Japan,” the statewide effort to support the Japan earthquake and tsunami relief efforts. All Bank of Hawaii branches in Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Saipan and Palau will accept donations. Donations can be made to “Aloha for Japan.” Cash and checks may be dropped off during business hours at any Bank of Hawaii branch. Contributions at Bank of Hawaii branches can be designated to American Red Cross and/or Japan-America Society of Hawaii.





Peter Ho, Bank of Hawaii chairman and CEO, said, “Bank of Hawaii would like to express its deepest sympathy to all of the earthquake and tsunami victims. We are pleased to be a part of the statewide relief effort to assist people in Japan. We encourage people to come to any Bank of Hawaii branch and make a contribution to help Japan recover from this devastation.”

Additionally, Bank of Hawaii Foundation will donate $100,000 to Japan relief efforts.
