Downloading Activity

Transaction data can be downloaded to your local computer for use in other applications, such as Quicken™*, Microsoft Money™*, or Microsoft Excel™*. Please note that downloads to Quickbooks™ is not supported at this time.

  1. From the Accounts menu, click Download banking transactions.
  2. Select the account for which you want to download information from the Account list.
  3. Click  by the To and From date fields to select the dates you want to include from the calendar window. You can also enter the date directly in the field MM/DD/YY format.   Please note that you can only download 45 days or 500 transactions at a time.
  4. Do one of the following:

To download to Quicken Downloads the transactions to your local computer. Follow the prompts to launch the application and save the file.

To download to a Quicken-format File
(Microsoft Money™ or pre-2005 versions of Quicken™ only)
Downloads the transactions to your local computer as a Quicken-format file.
Quicken-format files (.QIF) cannot be used to import information into Quicken 2005.
To download to comma separated values file Downloads the transactions to your local computer as a comma separated values file format for use in spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel™.

Note:  If you are using Netscape 7.x to download either a comma-separated file (.CSV) or a Quicken-format file (.QIF) you may either be asked what application you want to use to open the file or you may be asked to save the information as a .JSP file.

To address this issue, you need to define the .CSV and/or .QIF file type in Netscape 7.x by completing the following steps:

  1. In Netscape 7.x, click the EDIT menu item and then PREFERENCES. The Preferences page is displayed.
  2. On the Preferences page, double-click the NAVIGATOR category and then click HELPER APPLICATIONS. The Helper Applications workspace is displayed.
  3. On the Helper Applications workspace, click NEW TYPE.  The New Type page is displayed.
  4. On the New Type page, enter the following information:

     

    Field Information
    MIME Type For CSV, TEXT/ CSV
    For QIF, TEXT/QIF
    Description For CSV, Comma Separated Values
    For QIF, Quicken-Format File
    Extension For CSV files, CSV
    For QIF files, QIF
    When a file of this type is encountered Select Save it to Disk

     

  5. On the New Type page, click OK.
    On the Preferences page, click OK.
