2008 Bank of Hawaii Charity Walk

Bank of Hawaii is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations involved in improving the quality of life, health and wellbeing of people and neighborhoods throughout the communities we serve. As Hawaii’s largest independent bank, we are proud of our longstanding tradition as a key supporter of charitable causes.

In 2007 we created the Bank of Hawaii Charity Walk to help support a Hawaii charity that might not have the resources or infrastructure to hold a fundraising walk of its own. Because of the challenging economic climate, this year's walk will benefit three nonprofit organizations that provide food, shelter and basic necessities to individuals and families in Hawaii:

  • American Red Cross, Hawaii State Chapter, which provides food, shelter and basic necessities for families and individuals through its Disaster Response Program;

  • The Salvation Army, to support its Family Services Office, its frontline provider of food, clothing and financial assistance on Oahu.

Bank of Hawaii Charitable Foundation is consolidating all contributions to the Bank of Hawaii Charity Walk and distributing them to each beneficiary. Funds raised on an island will remain in that community.
